Dr. Michelle F. Ireland, Dentist / Prosthodontist
Dr. Michelle F. Ireland founded Ireland Restorative Dentistry to provide comprehensive and specialty dental care to the local communities. In addition to providing stellar care for her local communities, she continues to serve referrals from general dentists all over the US that seek out her extensive knowledge for more complex case work. For over 30 years, Dr. Michelle Ireland has worked tirelessly to build and maintain a reputation in innovative dental advancement in Prosthodontics, while providing a warm, caring, and inviting experience tailored for each individual patient.
Licensed as a general Dentist and certified in fixed and removable Prosthodontics, Dr. Ireland received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1994 and her certificate in Advanced Prosthodontics in 1996 from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry.
Dr. Ireland served as a professor in the Prosthodontic Department at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry from 1999 to 2008. During her faculty appointment she was responsible for instructions on crown, bridge, and removable Prosthodontics emphasizing esthetics, occlusion, and implant restoration at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Ireland actively serves as the main speaker for continuing education courses at local and district dental societies and study clubs. To best serve her patients, Dr. Ireland maintains her prosthodontic certification through extensive continuing education courses and lectures in the quest to provide the most innovative technology available.
From 1996 to 2012, Dr. Ireland maintained a private Prosthodontics practice in Chattanooga, TN before relocating in 2012 to serve patients in North Georgia. In 2019, Dr. Ireland discovered a quaint community-based town of Ball Ground, Georgia where she transformed the old Mercantile into Ireland Restorative Dentistry, the dental practice of her dreams.
Dr. Ireland has established the perfect dental home within the historic back drop of Ball Ground Main Street and prides herself on being an active participant in the local community life. From her “Super Tooth” Halloween Pumkin Contest to the “Molar Express Train” shining bright in the Christmas Parade, together with her husband David, son Jonathon, and daughter Katie, you will always find her at the center of Hometown Life.
Melissa Wellborn, Office Manager
Melissa has been a part of the dental community since receiving her certification in dental assisting from the Medix School in 1994 and joined our dental family in 2020. With decades of experience in private practice, she has a wealth of knowledge and is passionate about making sure patients understand their dental care from start to finish. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, gardening, watching baseball, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her six children, three grandchildren, and three dogs.
Brooke Skahill, RDH
Originally from Iowa, Brooke graduated from KCC in 2012 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She relocated to Georgia in 2014 and joined our dental practice in 2022. Her infectious smile, sincere caring nature and extensive knowledge of her craft provides our patients with a level of care that is above and beyond the standard of care. As a busy mom of three, Brooke is an active part of the local community and enjoys spending her down time lounging by the pool or enjoying the sun and sand at the beach with her family.
Amber Price, CDA-EF
Amber received her certification in 2013 and became a valued part of our dental team in 2022. She uses her calm and friendly personality to build relationships with her patients and enjoys being a part of restoring their confidence with smile reconstruction. In her free time, Amber enjoys lounging on the beach, fishing, hunting, and outdoor adventures with her husband and children.
Alli Hill, CDA-EF
Alli received her certification in 2016 and joined our team in 2019, bringing her extensive knowledge, advanced technical skill, and charisma that make her an asset to our dental team. She excels at making patients feel at ease and informed during their dental journey. When she’s not at the office, you can find Alli submerged in the farm life- raising cows, goats and riding horses. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, graphic design and spending time with her husband, Josh and daughter Emmy Jean.
Amanda Edwards, CDA-EF
Amanda joined our team in 2024, bringing over two decades of extensive experience. Amanda has an in-depth knowledge of every facet of the dental practice. Specializing in prosthodontic care, she has an eye for detail that is a complement to our mission. She is well liked by our patients, due to her kind and sincere interactions. Outside of the office, you can find her at the ball fields, in her full-time role as #1 fan to her daughter, Maddie or having comedy hour with her two sons, Andrew and Chase.
Savannah Cummings, CDA – CPT
Savannah pursued Dental Assisting in the fall of 2023 after receiving an Associate Degree in General Studies from UNG in May that year. She has been a member of our team since and has completed continuing education receiving her CPT, making her an asset to the surgical part of our practice. She is very observant and precise in her work. She enjoys making patients smile and her calm personality helps to make them feel comfortable in the chair. In her free time, you can find her on the soccer field , enjoying time with friends or snuggling her sweet dog, Zelda.
Celeste Presnell, RDH
Celeste began her dental hygiene career in 2016, proudly joining the Ireland Dental team in September of 2023. Celeste brings both skill and heart to her work and has found a place where her passion for helping others truly shines. She values patient focused care and takes pride in building lasting relationships through trust and compassion.
Outside of the office, Celeste has been married for 23 years and is a proud mom of two. Her son currently serves in the US Marine Corps, and her daughter plays on the high school varsity softball team.
